[Sca-cooks] Gooseberries?

We had gooseberries growing in our back yard in London, back in early 
50s (as well as boysenberries and a huge patch of raspberries, which I 
raided mercilessly). I've not seen gooseberries much since, except once 
in a blue moon in a grocery store. I personally loathe them, so wouldn't 
have paid much attention to their availability or growing areas to begin 
with (G).
