[Sca-cooks] Risi e bisi

A quick search didn't reveal anything remotely like this dish in the
medieval corpus.  Obviously I may have missed something, but I suspect
the cooking method wouldn't have worked well with the equipment and heat
sources available in Europe in the middle ages.
