Ooooh, I know this one!! If you are talking about the Red Deer, Cerveus 
elaphus, you can get US-farmed venison and New Zealand free-range or 
farmed. Look for "Red Deer". Sometimes you will find red deer grouped with 
fallow deer, which are a different species (Dama dama) but apparently 
taste almost the same. A quick perusal of the online purveyors says NZ 
deer will run you ~$34/lb for tenderloins, US-sourced farm-raised will be 
cheaper.
