I then rewrote that article and combined it with another article on
Alessio and published it again online. (The confectioners and the
secrets they shared | by Johnnae llyn Lewis.) Those .pdf's seem to
have vanished. Stefan should have a copy but it's waiting to be put
up, I guess. >>>

Uh oh! Johnnae, there have been many, many articles that I've seen that you've written or that you've alluded to, that I
ve wanted to add to the Florilegium. And very few that I didn't think would be appropriate. However, you've not given me blanket permission to use them and while I've got a list of many I've wanted to ask you about, I also didn't with to be greedy or take advantage of your generosity. I know that some I wanted to use, you wanted to hold for other publication or use. So I've been lax in prioritizing my wishlist and sending it to you.

I hadn't tried to copy or download them to hold for when I might get around to asking you, since I figured they would be available when that point arrived. Also, since they were already on the web, the need to get them into the Florilegium, except that hopefully many people find it easier to find good things there, didn't seem as great as getting some other info online. Since some of these seem to have disappeared, I guess I was wrong. I don't have copies of either of those articles.

Maybe you should just send me all the articles you've got in electronic format and are willing to let me use... Course that might come close to doubling the size of the Florilegium. :-)

It's like the book of articles published for the 30 Year Celebration. There are/were many nice articles in there and I've wanted to get them online in the Florilegium for some time, so they'd be available to folks that couldn't make that event, but since the authors were only given by name and not group or kingdom, I've had trouble finding contact info for most of them, even if they are still in the SCA.

Or that kingdom A&S newsletter issue on cooking which will never be printed, according to the SCA BoD. The articles are still under the author's copyright, so they could be published in the Florilegium, but despite my appeals, few of the authors have contacted me.

So much good, useful info that wants to be out there and available and not locked away in piles of old newsletters...
<cough>

Okay, I'm better now. Time to work on that copy of the invitation to that first SCA party on May 1, 1966...

Stefan
