Back in 2002, a reporter for a regional newspaper wrote an article
about the SCA, focusing on our baronial cook's guild.  I used an
analogy I'd used before at demos:

“Medieval recipes are a lot like Grandma’s recipes,” says Carroll-
Mann. “Take a little of this, a little of that, cook it till it looks
done.”
