Turkey day this year will also be the half century anniversary of my natal day, so we will have pies (pecan and pumpkin) and cake (which better be chocolate or I shall pout). We are dining with the neighbors (one of my former apprentices and his lady), friends and family. I'm cooking and stuffing (cornbread) the turkey. Other folks are bringing yams, various root veg, Brussel sprouts, cranberry in some form and I don't know what else. There may be squash gnocci. There will be foie gras since it is my birthday :-) There will also be some very nice Napa Cabernets from the late '80's.
