PPC 98 also carried the news that food historian Carole Lambert passed away in July 2012.
The news was very belated. She was only 63.

She's most associated with Du manuscrit a la table (Montreal and Paris Presses de 1'Universite de Montreal and Champion-Slatkine. 1992) and
Jean- Louis Flandrin and Carole Lambert, Fetes Gourmandes an Moyen Age (Paris: Imprimerie nationale editions, 1998).
Carole Lambert, "La cuisine francaise au bas Moyen Age: pays d'oil et pays d'oc," in Peltre and Thouvenot, eds., Alimentation et regions, 375-385.
Philip and Mary Hyman report that her dissertation and two other cookery medieval texts that she edited will be published by Editions Honore Champion.

PPC also notes that Jocasta Innes, author of the Country Kitchen, passed away in April 2013. Her obituary is here:
