Basically, yes. Though "haricots verts" are the green beans we know here  
and sometimes "haricot" is a shortcut for that.
 
The term "zydeco" supposedly derives from "les haricots sont sale's" ("the  
beans are salty), by the way. (What kind of beans do they use in New  
Orleans?)
