Deep Fried Cuban Roll, Thanksgiving Dinner win at Big Tex Choice Awards 
It’s not just fried butter and beer anymore. To win the State Fair’s Big Tex Choice Awards, chefs may need to throw a full menu in the fryer. The Best Taste victor in Monday’s ninth annual competition was the Deep Fried Cuban Roll, which combines roasted pork, ham, pickles and Swiss cheese — with a side of mojo sauce. An even more complex entry, Fried Thanksgiving Dinner, was judged the Most Creative entry.
