[Sca-cooks] Free course - England in the time of Richard III

I'm not sure how much food info will be incorporated in this class, but I thought some folks here might be interested in this.

I've already signed up for this particular course and I'm considering several others.

They don't seem to have any course specific to food, but they continue to add courses, so it might be worth checking occasionally. I do see various non-food, non-medieval classes I might be interested in. But maybe this is like being addicted to books. :-) Or being the guy at Pennsic who spent much of his time in the various classes.

I can't tell if these free courses are only an introduction and after this first year they will cost money or not. But if you have the time and interest, you might want to take advantage of some of these as you can.

Free online course on "England in the time of King Richard III"

The University of Leicester and FutureLearn are teaming up to offer a
six-week online course that will examine King Richard III and his era.
The massive open online course, which is freely open to anyone
interested in the topic, begins on November 25th.

England in the time of King Richard III will be taught by Deirdre
O'Sullivan, Lecturer in Medieval Archaeology from the University of
Leicester. During the six-week course, students will learn about
topics such as medieval warfare, the lives of peasants and farmers,
food and culture, death and commemoration, the introduction of
printing as well as how Richard III's remains were discovered last
year.
