I'm working on a book covering exactly that era, though I haven't paid much attention to holiday food I regret to sday. But I can send you part of the manuscript to dig through if you like.

Betreff: [Sca-cooks] German Austrian winter feast?

So helium hand here agreed to do the feast for our Baronial 12th night. (usually on board feast is only 85-135ish, so not horrid, but still required planning.) I have been trying to find some Christmas or mid winter feasts (descriptions or menus) preferably Germany or Austria, late 1400s to late 1500s.
Not having much luck.  If I dont find some specifics I will resort to my usual Rumpolt and find yummy food, but I am curious if any on this farflung list have information on records or menus of feasts, and if they actually contain any of the items that are so prominently associated with modern German holiday?

In curiosity
Gwen yes starting late, life has been conspiring Cat
