[Sca-cooks] Roman peacocks served in feathers?

A number of secondary sources claim that the Romans, like later medieval
kings, served peacocks in their own feathers. Only trouble is, I have yet to
see any Roman sources specifically describing a peacock being served this
way.

Has anyone else?
