I just home from the marvelous Ivan Day lecture at the Ohio State 
University. "Flaumpens, Chewitts and Bakemetes: Pastry as a 
Sculptural Medium in Late Medieval and Early Modern Europe". Saw Alys 
Katherine, Johnnae, Doc and several other people I mostly know from 
online. I'm lucky to be local, people traveled from Illinois, 
Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. And Ivan Day himself came from 
England.

They taped the lecture, and it should be online eventually.
