If you don't have plans for early July, please note that the West An Tir Cooks Play Date (and oh, yea, there's a war too) will be SIX days this year. July 1 through 6 in Gold Beach, OR. 

As a segue from the current topic of Lobster (yum yum) it has become traditional at the cooks play date for Friday to be fish day. We go into town that morning to raid the local fish monger and go back to cook fish (fin and shell) in our pipkins and grills over fire. Last year we shucked 14 dozen huge fresh oysters. Maybe this year someone will be inspired to try lobster and/or crayfish.
