Mix in the box was done in the 80s as the first version of "Snackin' Cake". No bad for a quick fix.

This is what is wrong with America today - lol
Seriously, unless that spray can is reusable, that is a heck of a lot of
packaging for cake. 

How hard is cake? 
How about this: come up with a cake mix that you add water or milk, and an
egg to, mix it up in the box/container and then bake it in the same? Maybe
it could all be packaged in the baking container with a plastic film to seal
it, peel that off, mix up the batter, throw the whole thing in the oven or
microwave and you're done?
