[Sca-cooks] Duck Fat in Period

I posed this question on the SCA Cooks Facebook page as well, so pardon any
cross-pollination.
Does anyone know of any resources in which I could find information on
period uses for duck fat? I'd be interested in culinary, cosmetic, or
medicinal purposes across all SCA-covered times periods and cultures.
I know that pork fat was reserved to use as a frying agent, but have been
unsuccessful in finding primary sources referring to duck (or even goose)
fat specifically.
