[Sca-cooks] unsweet melons?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melon has a pretty good list of melons - it
looks like most species of *Cucumis* are sweet?  I wonder if that's true of
historical cultivars of the same species, or of the wild types, if they
still exist.
