[Sca-cooks] Boiled puddings

Check Markham, The English Huswife.  While it was published in 1615, the 
recipes are probably Elizabethan in origin.  Most of the puddings are packed 
into sausage casings and then boiled, but there is also a recipe for Good 
Friday pudding which is boiled in a linen bag.
