We do an on and off food and cooking day. The way we work it is that one
person will host at their place, or if not possible, someone will offer up
their place but not be lead. The host takes point on researching a
cuisine/food culture that they're interested in and coming up with some
recipes before the fact. The day of becomes prep, discussing the recipes
and research behind the recipes, learning technique from others, etc etc.
Host buys the ingredients, everyone chips in cash to reimburse the host.
We manage one every quarter or so.
