> This is to announce that preliminary plans are underway for an Outdoor Cooking RUSH event, under the sponsorship of the Barony of Forgotten Sea. This event is on the Kingdom Calender for September 29, 2017 (Yes, over a year and a half away!)
> The emphasis on this event is cooking in a Period way, over fire and outdoors. Classes/workshops on fire tending, pot cooking and bread baking are already on the agenda. We are currently looking for volunteers to do workshops on large animal cooking (we have been promised a beef), fish and/or fowl cleaning and prep, period spices, food safety and others TBD.
> Three A&S competitions are planned, one for research papers directly related to food (recipes, techniques, etc), one for items related to serving (carved, wrought, or cast servingware, pottery, etc), and one for best dish prepared on site.
> Feast is planned to be a "potluck" of the products of the day.
