Interesting. I have a number of period mustard recipes, usually using wine or vinegar as the base. This is the first I’ve heard of a yogurt base.

Could you please post the recipe and/or your redaction? At first glance, it looks like a yoghurt base mustard would taste quite different from the wine and vinegar ones, but...

What sort of pickled items? Were these fermented pickles or ones put in vinegar?

I am trying to find more fermented items that I will eat.

When I joined the SCA, I thought “pickles” were always pickled cucumbers. Looking at some of the comments on the FB food groups, it looks like other people think that, as well.
