It takes an awful lot of rose petals to make rose oil, so that is probably better to buy. Not so much on the rose petal preserves or similar items like rose water.

I don’t think I have anything on rose petal preserves but here are some things to do with roses if you have a lot, and some time. One of the big warnings in the files is not to gather roses nearby roadways or where insecticides might have been used on them.
