SC - applying silver

I can't imagine trying to leave a piece of lace.  It would be difficult at
best, long and tedious if she is just lucky, and a total mess and waist of
leaf lace and money at worst.  Silver leaf is not all that cheep, and the
real stuff will tarnish in time.  

I think that we could be more helpful if we had some idea what the end
product is going to be.
