Short commnet on left handed writing:
I, like Ari, write arabic as well as english stuff. Both of us are use to starting on the right side of the page and working our way to the left. It is no different than a lefty starting at the left going to the right. The difficulty I have found is not with how you move your hand. Do it like any righty...(there are exceptions)...but you can not use those really fancy soft ended pens with the very sharp tips. They catch the paper. Rigid nibs work great in either hand and do not catch paper. Now if you are a "Hooker", I have no idea. I too lost the use of my right arm for a year and became a lefty for that year. I changed nothing excepted reflected my hand and paper positions from righty to lefty and back again. To use the fancier pens however, see Ari for details.

(duh!) "Left-Handed Calligraphy" and published by Van Nostrand Reinhold Co.
Not too terrribly informative, but adequate and the rest is a compilation of
various historical hands and layout stuff.

Another is by (Am I really recommending a book by *her*?) Margaret Shepherd
called "Basics of Left-Handed Calligraphy" 1998, Prentice Hall Press, NY
which is more informative as to how, but one should ignore her letterforms.
