In regard to Hillary's question and coming from one
who is a bit on the new side to SCA and scribal arts,
I would throw in my two cents, all they are worth
really. Currently, I hold only my AOA. I love it, pet
it often, and it has encouraged me to do more. To
boarden my horizons and seek more responsibilities
<<sappy music playing in bachground>>. 

Perhap, you should think of it this way--what would
encourage the person to be more and reward that? Are
they a servant at heart or artist in the making? If
both, I agree with others, recommend both. Awards are
GREAT, but it is the after effect that is the true
award...the encouragement to do more and be
supported/recognized by persons in the craft.
