Well, this date is the same as the Ansteorran Heraldic and Scribal, but if you happen to be in the Georgia area for work or vacation, you may wish to attend.

Subject: [SCA_S&I] invitation to a collegium
Greetings, good gentles,
If you live in or are likely to travel through southern Meridies this
month, you are cordially invited to attend Summer Collegium IV.
Running August 18 in Statesboro, Georgia (1-hour drive from Savannah),
the collegium will include several classes that may appeal to scribes
and illuminators: "Introduction to Medieval and Renaissance Illuminated
Manuscripts" by Mistress Serena da Riva and "Bookbinding in history and
present: lecture and workshop on bookmaking" by Lady Kassaine of Varna.
Both are 2 hour courses.
Seeing Lady Kassaine's exquisite small journal at a previous event, I
persuaded her to create this class to teach others. Meanwhile, Mistress
Serena graciously agreed to teach her illuminated manuscripts class
with many books to review up close and close with a scriptorium if
class members are interested.
The website below will provide more details. Please pardon if you
receive this announcement as a cross-posting.
Again, you are all most welcome to attend!
In Service I remain,
Rosamond Playfayre, Scholar
Kingdom of Meridies
