Greetings Scribes, 
  Regarding original scroll commissions for kingdom awards:
   
  Sometimes, the Crown makes the request to the Star Signet office, for upcoming Peerage or Court Barony scrolls. 
  Sometimes, the Crown discusses the commission with the scribe directly.   
  Sometimes, the Star Signet will approach the Crown and request if they need Signet to assist with find a scribe for a commission for an upcoming award for a Peerage or Court Barony.  
   
  Whether the scroll request is made by the Crown or others, depends on how proactive or reactive the Crown, Sable Scroll or Star Signet is.  
   
  Ansteorra does not have a very formal process for the commission of original scrolls for upcoming awards; the Crown simply asks Sable Scroll or Star Signet or the individual scribe.  With communications being good, so far duplication of efforts have not been made.  
   
  With Ansteorran initiatives to promote and encourage more opportunities for Ansteorran scribes to create original scrolls, this Star Signet is maintaining a roster of kingdom championships and other kingdom awards and the scribes who create them, as well as keeping Sable Scroll informed of that information.  Knowing which scribes are working on which upcoming projects, helps keep duplicates from happening, as well as being able to respond when problems occur.  
   
  A Request - if you are requested to create an original scroll for an Ansteorran Award by either the Crown or the award recipient (such as an upcoming known Peerage ceremony), please drop a note to Star Signet and Sable Scroll letting them know.  That way, Star Signet can confirm you are not creating a duplicate, and the Crown, Sable Scroll and Star Signet will be aware that scroll is being taken care of.
