[Scriptoris] Japanese Pigments

Good Day,

I was wondering if someone might know what types of pigments (paints) were
used in around the 16th to 17th century in Japan.

I have a commission and would like to make sure to duplicate the medium as
closely as possible.  I know the piece I am being asked to use was a wood
block,
