[Scriptoris] Calligraphy Questions

If you want to see how Islamic calligraphy pen points are shaped,  
look at the following site and click on the picture to enlarge it.  
The "ink" looks awfully thick and apparently doesn't cover in an even  
flow. I am not familiar with it. My real love is to patiently grind  
Chinese ink sticks in the medium black color (matte, rather than the  
shiny inks) unless I am on a cream paper, then I think the brownish  
stick ink looks better.
