SR - Seawinds

Lords, Ladies, gentles;
After spending the weekend with his grace, Duke Stefan of Bellatrix, and
bringing along our greatest opponent to the principality idea, an agreement
has been reached.  As some of you may or my not be aware, the Seneschal of
Seawinds announced we were not in favor of the principality idea, but the
truth is the majority of Seawinders do want the growth a principality will
hopefully bring.  Duke Stefan informed us of our rights that had been
suppressed up to this point.  Baron Felix has agreed to go along with the
majority opinion and to bring the subject up at populace this Thursday.
I subscribed to this list rather late (like just yesterday) so I will need
some ammo for this populace meeting.  I am sure one or two of you can
provide a background synopsis and the typical pro/con argument I will be
faced with during the meeting.
One con that I know will be presented is that Seawinds has some history with
persons in Stargate.  Most of us in Seawinds really don't play politics, we
play to have fun, so the political ties to Stargate are trivial.
