Just a bit of trivia, for enquiring minds.... :-)
Actually, nowadays the correct title for the handler of the money is 
"Chancellor of the Exchequer."  This is the title being used at the 
Corporate level and, I believe, is the title they would prefer for 
everyone to use.  It's a fairly new policy (by SCA standards, anyway) 
and hasn't really filtered down yet in several of the kingdoms - 
us included (probably because it takes so much extra breath to say).  
"Treasurer" is actually the mundane equivalent for what our money 
handlers do for our "club." However, both it and "Reeve," are still 
commonly accepted and understood, so I don't think we should draw 
and quarter anyone for using either term....
