Though I am tired of this thread, and have deleted scads up to this point, I do
stop and read postings from and responses to certain folks.

Personally, I don't care it an entire renaming manifesto was published HERE on an
UNOFFICIAL E-LIST. All OFFICIAL commo needs to be done directly.

So, the Regional Seneschale, in good faith, sends letters to a group. The intended
recipients claim not to have received them. SNAFU, simply and purely. Whose
fault?.., who cares? Sosha can decide that things will go up as is (justifiably
within her purview), or seek to right what some see as a wrong (and others do not)
by extending her deadline and allowing **that one Barony** to vote. Either way is
good for me.

However, it is silly to say that the Seneschals should have known that there was a
problem.., how could they, if they never received the letters. You can't hold
someone to a deadline they were not made aware of by official channels.

ME: "Hey pug, you got that check for $50 for me?"

PUG: "What check?"

ME: "I sent you a letter, man."

PUG: "Well, I didn't get it."

ME: "Doesn't matter, I posted the due date for the $50 on a mailing list somewhere.
The due date is past. Fork it over now!"

PUG: "Now, just a minute here...."

That's what Isobel is saying," Now, just a minute here...."

Pug, for what its worth to you, I think you were WAY over the top with:

*YOU* could have done the same thing, and didn't. *ANY* of those wanting the new
ballot to yield a name could have done so. Not everyone is uber-bunged about this
name thing. Is quietly waiting for the new ballot, then being somewhat disturbed
and dismayed when you discover that you missed it, REALLY apathy? Your
finger-pointing is outrageous, and the name-calling (apathetic) is undeserved, and
unbecoming.

Lemme quote you:
