gptaylor (gtaylor at lonestar.jpl.utsa.edu) said something that sounded like:
> There are two answers for this. I believe that ballots got sent.
> Either our Seneschals are lying or they didn't receive the ballots.
> Call either of them a liar, and you'll have a fight on your hand.

We are getting petty here.

> No ballots made it to our Barony, which would have been happy to vote.
> Please tell me how this is apathy.

On September 19th, Sosha sent a letter to this list with the full
details of when the deadline was, who was sent the messages, etc.

To recap part of that message:

[...]
This issue was discussed at the Southern Regional meeting held at
Raven's Fort. Not all of the seneschals were there (nor their
representatives) nor were they all able to attend the meeting held at
3:00 Saturday afternoon. However, those present did express some
concern over the idea that a name was to be chosen from only a small
sample (those that actually turned in their votes), and they were
willing do this one more time with a couple of catches. Those catches
are that the ballots will be sent out to the Seneschals once again, with
a letter delineating voting procedure. The cut off date to return
ballots will be the 31st of October, to be returned to me via mail.
[...]
October 31st will be the cut off date. The last set of votes, I had to
extend the actual deadline, not once but twice, so that the region was
not named by the only three groups who got their packets in on time.
[...]

If there is apathy is it by *you* for not going to your seneschal when
*you* knew the ballots were coming. *You* should have been proactive
since *you* wanted to vote and have a say. *You* should not have waited
until after the voting to complain.

*If* there is an attempted 3rd vote, *I* will not distribute them again.
I have in good faith asked my Barony to fill out these voting forms. I
will not go to them again and ask them to do something they have already
done twice.

Ciao,
