The other thing is that any moderator is best off getting requests to 
join sent to them, rather than waiting to remember to check on-line.

I own a couple lists and am a moderator on a few others, and i 
finally realized i was missing requests to join from one of the lists 
because i hadn't checked the right box.

This is something the chosen moderator will have to do themselves, 
i'm pretty sure, not something you, the owner, can set up for them. 
(but i could be wrong :-)
