Greetings-

These pictures were taken at the Santa Fe Renaissance Fair, at El Rancho de Las
Golondrinas, Santa Fe, New Mexico (Kingdom of the Outlands). Golondrinas is a
living history museum. I met with the agricultural curator, she allowed me to
pick vegetables and herbs from the farm; anything I needed for the medieval kitchen demo. We
picked, cabbages, carrots, cucumbers, eggplants, apples, melons, onions and
herbs of every description. We also had goose, duck, turkey and guinea fowl
eggs, nuts, dried fruits, spices, whole pig, rabbits, ducks (heads and webbed
feet attached).

I set up a brick and earth oven to bake bread and of course the spit. My passion
is period cooking and this was the absolute best time. Waking up early to pick
apples from the tree and to the vegetable patch for onions, taking a fresh loaf
of bread out of the oven to cool… can't wait for next year.

Anyway, please let me know if you have any questions.
