In Caid they were called Constables. They were the basic lost and found, the ones that made sure things were okay, usually first ones called when there was a skunk in the privies..Yep, the black and white ones. <snip>
Does Ansteorra have something similar?

Ansteorra used to have Constable officers in the past, but either it feel out of fashion or stopped being filled by lack of volunteers or some other reason I've long forgotten.  The Constables used to keep watch on the parking lots, especially when we shared events on modern park sites where the SCA was not only at the site; and they would do fire-watches wandering camps to make sure fires didn't get out of control after everyone was asleep.   
Typically, it's the job of the Autocrat of the event to record and post items that are lost and found following their event.  Items not claimed are generally passed to the Chamberlain in charge of branch inventory.  Periodically, the box of things are pulled out and displayed at an event for finders to identify; then after a year, the items are put on auction to raise funds for something.
