ST - Kids and SCA

We have two, a four year old and a two year old. I am real stuffy when it
comes to them participating in the SCA. I think they are too young as
children's activities do not cover children under five. If we take them to
events it is because neither one of us is committed to anything else and
can play with them full time. I made the mistake of taking my son, the two
year old, out to an event with me where I had a brief meeting. It was
difficult when I got caught up in some unexpected additional kingdom
business. I was lucky that a wonderful Master held him for me for the
duration of my conversation. My son however was not very happy.

Their names for now are their other legal names. Victoria's first name is
Alexandria so that is her sca name. Joseph's is just spelled different,
Ioseph. Neither is registered but their membership cards from the SCA do
have those names in there for them. They both had their memberships before
they were born, baby havas1 and baby havas2. :)

They will find their names when they are ready and register them when they
are ready for that as well.

I would recommend that you search the archives and talk to the Moondragon
clan as well as their oldest girl. She did her own heraldry and name
registration at a very young age.

The archives can be found at:

Please note the new URL for Stephan's files. :)

Sincerely,
F. Havas
