Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - that's what I vaguely remember, it was a
long time ago, a baby sucks your brain out, and it was a really good
story?

(is it working?)

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm................................ I
somehow remember it differently.

Fritz
But why let facts stand in the way of a good story.

>It is a good "Fritz" story.

(Aslyn pokes her head up....."hey....I'm a old, tired Bard of the
Steppes.....)

...."There I was.....there I was......"

...on the list field fighting a one armed crawfish who was escaping FBI
agents (who was rather swarthy, I must say) as he backstroked...nay did
a butterfly stroke.... through the listmistress's legs when *suddenly*
(in a rage of water that rivaled the river in Deliverance [insert banjo
music *here*]) the Steppes list poles were absconded with... *nay*
carried away like a thief in the night...by the turbulent Red Sea. And
we were without Charleton Heston. But wait!

Our brave Baron, spent with fighting our Kingdom's finest with such a
display of manly testosterone laden... (but wait, that's another
story...) *and* heedless of the vast armies of one armed crawfish that
lay waiting in the turbulent sea below, dove head first to save the
captured list poles that our dear Baronial artisans had slaved over deep
into the night. Onward he forged into the waves, taming them into
puddles of submissive eddies as he collected the poles before they were
dashed upon yon Volkswagens and crumbled into splinters. And there was
*great* rejoicing.

I also seem to recall certain rapier fighters....and....perhaps a
certain Count....who found great delight in riding the poles down the
river whilst attempting to catch rather gnarly waves.

As the sea subsided, I....I, a mere scribe and closet bard, returned to
my lone scribal pavilion beyond the tranquil, crawfish laden
river....alas, to witness a single drop of rain fall upon an Iris that I
was inscribing....despite the efforts of many who were protecting said
Iris with, um...several period rain dispersing devices....ummm, yeah.

And then, there was this group of Sprightly Water Nymphs that arose from
the springs as if from the calm waters to say "all is well, all is
well." They danced among the autumn mists in a land called...wait,
wait.....sorry......

Well....I'm sure I've left pertinent details out....perhaps that was
purposeful on my part...perhaps not. ;-) Some tales should be left for
another day, another drink, and another fire....don't you think?

Dread Pirate Rober...oops, Ironwyrm does sound good.

BTW, Steppes already has a Habormaster. Our Good Baron
Fritz earned that title a few Waterlords ago, granted
by the King no less. I've heard Bards relate the tale
before. It is a good "Fritz" story.

Originally I was thinking more along the lines of a
recovery vechicle in case of flooding again. Some of
us always have reffered to his truck as "The Beast" or
"The Dragon", I guess with this modification it would
be the "Sea Drake" or something... :)
