[Steppes] OT: hunting a salvage yard..

One place you can try is the Habitat for Humanity Clearance store. They
sell the stuff they can not use in their housing projects. I am unsure
of it's actual name but they are located at Beltline and 30 in Mesquite.
I have some friends that have found some very useful stuff there and I
am looking forward to going to check it out my self.

Since SCA folks tend to be some of the best scroungers in the world
(that is high praise), I was curious if anyone knew of a salvage
yard/store in the DFW area.. Not automobile salvage, but general type
stuff..  The kind of place you can walk in and find odd lots of lumber,
plumbing stuff, kitchen type salvage... you know, cool junk..
