Cool!  Good Luck! It's an amazing job where all the little, off-beat skills
and knowledge that you've gathered over the years will come in handy.  Also,
there are two universities in the area that offer an on-line Masters in
Library Science- Texas Womens University and UNT.

Check online.  Irving has just opened a ton of new positions.  There are
also positions in Lewisville and within Region 11 for certain.

After 9 years teaching and one subbing, I just interviewed for my first
librarian position.  If I can get the emergency certification, they want me!

I just graduated in May with a BS in Early Childhood Education -
certified to teach through grade 4.  Years in service - none... I can't
seem to find a job.

Anyway, I am certified to teach. :)

Just curious, how many members of the Steppes have ever studied to be or

worked as a Teacher in schools?

What were your major fields?  Length of time working?

I studied Special Ed. Physically Handicapped Elementary at Texas Woman's

Univ. in Denton.
Minored in History. Never taught due to inability to handle stress.

I'll bet we have a lot of teachers!
