The Chinese used them. I'm not exactly sure about the date, but it was
the first recorded military application of rockets.

Although I shall be out of town the idea of rocket assisted arrows is
interesting.

To the Good Gentles of the Steppes do I send greetings and offer news of
the
activities for the weekend,

Archery Practice will take place this Sunday morning, but will commence
at 9
a.m. instead of 10. This will be our start time from now until ths fall,
the
cooler to keep us in the dog days of summer. We will be celebrating the
Fourth this Sunday with some fun shoots. If the weather does not
cooperate,
a cancellation notice will be posted by 7:30. It may be that we need to
wear
waterproof shoes, but even if the 40 yard line is under water, we will
come
up with things to do and shoot at.

Loaner gear will be available, as usual. This will be a last chance for
many
to practice before AAA.

Come on out and start your Fourth off with a 'bang'.

Yours in Service,

Lady Linet Grey
Archery Marshall Barony of the Steppes
