Just an FYI:
There is no airline regulation prohibiting alcohol in either carry-on or checked baggage. While it can be transposted, it cannot be consumed on the plane; the only alcohol that can be consumed during flights is that offered or sold by the individual airline.
I carried 8 bottles of cordials in my carry-on bag to Scotland in June. The bag was both x-rayed and hand searched, and there was no problem with the alcohol or glass bottles.

Howdy All,
At business meeting last, there was a point brought up about Gulf Wars.
Basically, TRMs have asked the groups of Ansteorra to provided largess for
the 19 kingdoms and principalities of the Known world. To make things more
equal, each group is being asked to produce 19 of the same items so that
when combined together into baskets, the total gifts for each kingdom or
principality is the same.
I have heard the collective groan when this is mentioned and the invariable
recollection of the horn project....
I have also heard a reccomendation of giving cordials. This particular idea
is good in some ways and bad in others. The main problem being that some of
the attending crowns will be flying in and nothing like a bottle of cordial
is going to make it onto a commercial airline and some few will not want to
risk their wardrobe on the possibility of the bottle breaking in transit.
This goes for just about any fluid given in a container.
Likewise, the temperature of various vehicles make things like candles or
other wax objects, including chocolate and similar candies, impractical for
gifts.
What we are looking for is a project, producible within the next six months
or less, for 19 separate and individual kingdoms and pricipalities that
travels well. This could be regalia related, largess, decorative boxes
filled with such things as medications for the various ills of TRMs and TRHs
and attendant entourages, etc. In short, something unbreakable and small
enough to be put into luggage as well as being suitable for royalty.
All suggestions welcome, let's kick it around and get the ball rolling on
the project so we can do a good job and not be in a time crunch to finish.
On another note for Gulf Wars, does anyone know at this time if they are
going to make it, or are planning on making it, but are unsure at this time?
If the Steppes is going as a group again, this would be another thing to
work out sooner than later. Topics would be transporting of gear, menus,
division of labor, etc.
At this point I am planning on going for the entire week and may check into
being there on the weekend prior if possible to layout and setup camp. Since
I do not fight, I may even be talked into keeping up the campsite and
dealing with meals and such with sufficient encouragement.
