For anyone doing research on the history of archery, I recommend The
Society of Archer-Antiquaries which now has a web site of its own at:
http://www.societyofarcher-antiquaries.org  See the publications
section for some of the archery articles in past issues of their
journal.  The cost of membership in the SAA is $20 and includes a
quarterly newsletter and their annual "Journal of the Society of
Archer-Antiquaries".  If you are interested see the "contact" page for
the American representative Norman Graham for contact information for
sending in a subscription, which will get you a copy of this years
journal. I highly recommend the Journal as a source of excellent
articles on the history archery.  If you want Norman Graham's email
address, just email me.

They are working on putting the back issues on CD and making it
available to those interested. When
this happens it will a necessary addition to the library of anyone
seriously interested in the history of archery.
