[Steppes] When Email Escapes!!

In both of my email programs/accounts if you hit reply to all it goes to
the list and also to the senders  email.

But, Iames, I thought the idea was that when you post using "reply all"
it
would only go to the list.  If you hit "reply" it will only go to the
person
who sent it.  Therefore, it frees up the amount of email you receive.
Am I
wrong in this?
