For anyone who was offended by my use of the word "geek" I do apologize.  I was referring first and foremost to myself and I can assure you entirely that I didn't mean to slight myself or anyone else.  The term has changed a great deal over the last 20-30 years, and to people in technical fields, it's really just a term that means "technical superiority and dedication to something that others might consider really dorky."  Our game, history, computers...these all qualify.  But I assure you, it's used with affection, not derision.
