In all the discussion of having 12th Night as a regional event or combining Artisan with another event, I haven't seen anyone yet suggest having Artisan as a regional event. I can only remember going to one, maybe two, Artisan in the years, over a decade, that I have played. I went for the classes held that year. Artisan has just not been the priority for me that it is for others. With Artisan already being the large event for A&S that I have been reading it is, I think that we could combine with Elfsea for a Regional Artisan, while at the same event choosing Steppes & Elfsea Baronial Artisans with different sets of judges for each title.
Elfsea used to have an annual collegium that I always tried to get to. One of the main reasons I started to play, is that I greatly enjoy learning things. With a combined artisan event perhaps it would be easier to have classes.

However I have to say that I was pleased to see the discussion on the list today. I was not happy when, at populace, it was declared that since 12th Night would not be hosting Eistedfodd, that it would have to be an off calendar event. I am happy to see that that may not be the case. I enjoy the pageantry of 12th Night courts. Court at Warlord always seems pretty casual, with people in their coolest not necessarily their fancy garb, sitting in camp chairs and waving off bugs. At 12th Night we usually have a Grand Show. I have yet to hear any court at any event or location, so I like to see a pageant with ladies in their fancy gowns & lords in their best garb, not sweaty and/or mud covered.

Just my humble opinions,
Ly Gabriele

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, white russian in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
