[Steppes] a factoid about the email list

First,

We are not the only mailing list on the server set up this way. In fact
there are several lists set up this way on the server. There are even more
than you can count that will reply automatically to both the sender and the
list. This is actually becoming more annoying that the private emails being
posted to lists, opinion is based on the number of emails I get about it.

What inspired the request for the Steppes list was 30 too many emails
continually coming to this list followed with an apology for posting to the
list when it was intended for a individual.

Each time something that was meant to be private came to the list it caused
misplaced 'drama'. We all strongly dislike this kind of 'drama'.

Since that time most private matters have remained private and not in the
eye of the public. You really have to intend to send to the Steppes list if
a private matter gets aired to us all.

Now,

I do have to say that those users are most likely better educated on how to
respond to the Steppes list and make it a true discussion list and not an
'airing dirty laundry' list. :)

Chiara
