The new "Robin Hood" on BBC America isn't bad either, the first three
episodes are available on DirecTV.

They went for the same kind up "updated, edgy, rock-n-roll" kind of look
that "The Tudors" did but there's a lot less glitz and glitter, they
just don't quite have the same large budget that Showtime has...

The first 2 episodes seem good to me... I cannot judge the costumes, and
the history is, well, it's a dramatic interpretation - BUT - the acting
is first rate! I look forward to the rest of the series, if I can afford
to keep Showtime, that is.

Directv is doing a free preview of the first 2 episodes on channel 101
trying to get people to sign up for Showtime. I think the series really
starts at the first of April.
