Frisco came to us in July of 2006 from a neighbor who found him as a stray.
The vets estimated his age to be around 4 months, though he may have been a
month or two older. We guess he's about 1.5yo now. He's a big
guy...100.4lbs at the vet last week when he had his rabies shot. He's
current on his shots, takes his heartworm and flea/tick medication without
trouble and has had no health problems. He is neutered. While we have no
papers, most people who see him (including vets) believe he is a purebred
black Lab.

Frisco wants to be with people very much. He still loves to chew and play
"keep away" with his toys. He obeys well when the pack leader is firm and
confident. He does get overly excited by my kids' squeals and will jump
when excited. But he will lie at/on our feet and chew his toy once he calms
down. He loves walks and belly rubs, meaty bones and scratches behind the
ears.

We need to find Frisco a new home for a couple of reasons. First, our
4.5yoson is still terrified of him, having been "played with" too
roughly for his
liking. Licking, jumping, even sniffing, makes our son shake in terror,
even when the dog is calm and leashed. It's the same reaction with all
large dogs, so it's not Frisco's fault. But our son's comfort at home is of
primary importance. Second, Frisco wants to be in the house with us and my
allergies are not allowing this to happen as often as he needs. We feel we
are doing him a disservice by trying to keep him in our family and limiting
his indoor time.

Frisco deserves a family who can love him, continue to discipline and train
him, and to give him the kind of home he needs.

We can be reached at 972-347-3746(h) and 972-838-7036(c) if you have any
further questions. Photos available.
