[Steppes] While we are speaking of Demos

Your Excellency,

It is my honor to serve the Barony.

It probably is my own fault for not attending meetings (I get my fill of them at work!) and therefore did?not realize that we were not participating at NTIF. I admit that I find myself surprised, however, that it hasn't been mentioned on the list. I also find myself surprised that we are NOT participating after so many years of being there, and of even winning the award for best cultural booth. If I were not already fully committed to a number of shifts as a volunteer, I would be happy to hand out flyers, but I'm afraid I'm?going to be too busy to do so.?Perhaps some of the others members of Steppes or Elfsea who normally participate in the demo will be willing, or one of our members who merchant at the event will lay some out.

We have chosen to not do a demo this year at NTIF.? I did notify them weeks ago we would not be there as a group this year, so that they already know. If anyone is interested in handing out flyers or bookmarks when they attend, I will make some for folks to take.?

Cionaodh, did you not notice the date? It is for the last weekend in March, which is a full?11 weeks away -- plenty of time to make sure that the fighters are aware of the demo.? I hope that the fact that we have only?6 weeks until the North Texas Irish Festival and 7 weeks until All CON will?not prevent us from having heavy fighters at both demos!? Demos have been known to take the place of Fighter Practice (given enough notice), at least since I joined 25+ years ago! While last year was the first demo at All CON I've attended, we've done both Saturday and Sundays at NTIF for many years. Are we to give up the hope of having heavy weapons fighters at either because they are on a Sunday?

On the topic of NTIF, has anyone volunteered to coordinate THAT demo? It's one of our most important demos of the year and it is fast approaching! ?
